 Custom driver for Linksys WCF54G 802.11b/g CF-card
Hello.
Custom driver for Linksys WCF54G 802.11b/g CF-card (Pocket PC 2003/Windows Mobile 5)
is located at http://winm-soft.atspace.com.
It supports promiscuous mode, monitor mode and continuous preamble mode.
It works with standard system wireless interface and various sniffers.

Hi... I am a new guy here...
Hi, like I said in the title, I am new at this stuff, altough, I have a PocketPc. I am not using that much internet on it, but, if I do, should I install this driver? If so, why, if you don't mind explaining me a little more?
Thanks

the different drivers are for monitor mode, not to to help you connect per se, if you have drivers that work now and all you want to do is connect, these won't be of any use to you

 Well... Thanks any way...
I am asking this, but, to monitor something, is to look for other pocketpc activity? Or any networks in general?
I have a HTC p3300. Does this might help me in something?
Thanks again.

monitor mode if its working correctly, should allow you to passively receive the packets that networks around you are transmitting, and this will include anything they send out over unencrypted networks, or simply beacons and and encrypted data, etc
for cracking wep, gathering wpa-handshakes, general packet capture

 Well... Thanks...
Like I said in my first post... I am just starting to "fool" around, so, in time, maybe I can understand something more than just I know now, which is clearly close to nothing. Thanks anyway.
By the way, because I'm portuguese, sometimes I may make some english mistakes, and, other times, simply not to understand at all what you or other people might be saying to me, just because my vocabulary! Like I said... Thanks any way!
